Our Story

“love where you live”
This had a been a personal manta for myself ever since I rented my first apartment.
Your home is YOUR space. It is a place where you should feel comfortable, a place that expresses your style, and a place that you are happy to share time with others. It’s time to make your home a place where you love to live.
The McCall Home has been what I would consider a passion project. It was created in 2019 as a way for me to share with others my love for home decor. I enjoy finding and offering people timeless and unique pieces at affordable prices through my outdoor craft markets, pop-up sales, online live events, and posts. As my customers began to request design advice, the next phase of McCall Home was expanded to include interior design consultations as well as staging services for those who want to transition to a new home.
But actually, my design story begins way before 2019. Growing up, my mom was an art teacher and small business owner so I was always surrounded by multiple mediums: fabrics, paints, ceramics, yarns, drawings as well as shelves of art books which I pored through. From drawing out house floor plans, complete with furniture suggestions, starting at age 9, to redesigning my bedroom with new carpet, wallpaper, bedding and accessories at age 13, I was always creating new visions with projects.
Fast-forward to marrying the love of my life, my husband and I have lived in 3 apartments and 4 houses as our family grew to include 3 amazing children. I have enjoyed decorating our homes along the way, which have included historic houses (our first purchase was a home built in 1919), as well as a brand-new construction home to raise our kids in. Along with being able to experiment with different styles of homes, we’ve also lived in different areas of the country (the South, the East Coast, and the Midwest) which has given me experience with varying regional styles too.
My hope is that you will think of The McCall Home when you are ready to turn your house into a home. Into a place where you “love where you live”.
